Conjyclear (Olopatadine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution) is an antihistamine used to treat ocular (eye) symptoms of allergic conditions, such as inflammation, itching, watering, and burning.

Conjyclear is a sterile eye solution that contains Olopatadine, which is an anti-allergic compound that belongs to a class of drugs called (antihistamines), and works by relieve the feeling of itching, redness, tearing or swelling of the eyes caused by Allergic conjunctivitis. Olopatadine blocks the release of histamine(histamine is the compound responsible for allergy symptoms). The usual dose of Conjyclear eye drops: 1 drop in each affected eye twice a day.

Conjyclear – the most important information

  • You should not use Conjyclear if you are breastfeeding.
  • The contact lenses must be removed before using Conjyclear.
  • Conjyclear eye drops are not used for children under three years of age because there are no clinical studies on the use of this product in children under three years of age.
  • If you are using other eye drops or eye ointments, leave at least five minutes between each medicine or eye ointment or drops.( separate between each eye product by at least 5 minutes).
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this product.
  • Conjyclear eye drops may cause blurred vision for some time,  so after using the drops it is not recommended to drive or operate machinery until this effect is eliminated.
  • The most common possible side effects include: dry eyes, an abnormal sensation in the eye, a feeling of discomfort in the eye, in addition to non-ophthalmic side effects, including: headache, dizziness, sinusitis, bad taste in the mouth.
  • The package should not be used after the expiry date stated on the bottle .The expiration date refers to the last day of that month.
  • Conjyclear eye drops must be kept at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C and after opening at a temperature between 2 to 8 ° C.
  • Conjyclear should be used within 30 days from the date of opening.
  • Conjyclear eye drops contain benzalkonium chloride: Benzalkonium chloride may cause eye irritation and discolouration of soft contact lenses. Contact lenses must be removed before using the product and wait for at least 15 minutes before using them again.
  • The recommended dose is one drop in one or both (affected) eyes twice a day, morning and evening.
